⚠️February Member of the Month⚠️ ➖ Nate W is one of our original members and his transformation is mind blowing! Every nutrition challenge Nate transforms more and more and he really hit it out of the ballpark with the 42 Day Shred! Proud of his hard work in and outside of the gym. Learn more about Nate below⬇️ ➖ 1. What made you decide to try CrossFit? -I had plateaued at my last gym, and Amye Peterson messaged me to come try Crossfit at a new gym in Galesburg. I had always wanted to try it, so I did and fell in love with it. 2. What were your first thoughts after your first class? -Owe…my big toe! I broke it falling awkwardly from my first time doing a handstand. 3. How has CrossFit changed your life/lifestyle? -Crossfit has helped me in so many ways…I feel better physically, and mentally. It has helped me with my anxiety, and helped me reach my goal of weighing under 200lbs. I was 325 years ago, and while I had lost a ton of weight before crossfit, I couldn’t get below 200lbs. As I’m writing this, I weigh 192lbs! 4. What motivates you during a workout? -Pushing others to get better. Being competitive and trying to motivate others to get stronger and faster! 5. Favorite and least favorite movement? -I love doing cleans, and I’m starting love front squats! On the other hand, thrusters are soul crushers, and I wouldn’t mind if Aleks and Maverick never programmed them again…That probably means I need to practice them more. 6. Favorite indulge meal? -PIZZA!!! For sure! 7. Biggest accomplishment in CrossFit so far? -I have many…Running (and winning my division) my first ever 5K. Weighing less than 200lbs, and freaking pull-ups! 8. What advice would you give to someone just starting or considering starting CrossFit? -Just do you…It takes a long time to get good/decent at Crossfit. The only person you need to compete with is yourself. You will start to get better with time. Be patient!
